WHAT TO EXPECT

Your first visit to Viva Chiropractic

viva chiropractic health history min

1. Health History

This form will be emailed to you before your appointment so you can complete it at your leisure. The Chiropractor will then take a detailed medical history as well as discussing your presenting complaint. This helps us understand why you have come in, your goals, lifestyle habits and relevant health history, including any medications or past medical tests. They help build a picture of your health and identify any contributing factors to your pain. This process also helps to determine whether chiropractic care is suitable for you. Please bring any previous scans/documentation with you that may be relevant.

VIVA Chiropractic Physical Examination

2. Physical Examination

This will consist of both functional and neurological assessment, postural analysis and any other testing relevant to the complaint.

viva chiropractic report of findings

3. Report of Findings

On your second visit we will go through your report of findings. Here we will let you know if we can help. This includes diagnosis, prognosis and outlining a treatment plan tailored to

you.If you require any further investigations such as X-rays, MRI scans or a referral to GP, this will be discussed. If you decide you would like to go ahead with care we can start straight away.

viva chiropractic treatment

4. Treatment

Treatment will normally begin with an intensive phase, and gradually becoming less frequent as we work towards stabilisation, termed the corrective phase.

Progress checks will be done every 4-6 visits or so in order to objectively assess how you are progressing. This appointment will take slightly longer than your usual visits.

viva chiropractic ongoing care

5. Ongoing Care

Many patients decide to make chiropractic care a regular part of their lifestyle. After your initial treatment plan, we will discuss options for ongoing maintenance to support your long-term well-being.

Chiropractic maintenance care is a long-term, preventive approach that continues after a patient’s initial improvement. Rather than waiting for pain to return, this model relies on regular chiropractic adjustments to support optimal function of the spine and nervous system. It differs from symptom-guided care – which is reactive – by focusing on sustaining progress and reducing the risk of future episodes.

Move Better. Feel Better. Live Better

We understand that health goes beyond just treating symptoms – it’s about empowering you to live life to the fullest.
